Finally, I have some pictures to present from my newborn photography session with my new niece, C. The whole session was a learning experience. I spent many hours with my niece’s family. Although some of that time was spent just as family time, I learned that I need to become much faster and more efficient during the shoot. C.’s parents were troopers, though. C. just did not like to be unwrapped or uncovered and was often very hungry. Her parents spent an enormous amount of time feeding, changing, wiping, and calming her. I need to come up with ideas for more clothed and bundled poses to adapt to fussier babies in the future.…

Happy Holidays! Last week, my family and I left warm (relatively) Northern California and flew out to the Midwest to visit my husband’s family. Getting Ready for a Newborn Photo Shoot and a DIY Tutu for Big Sister
I’m going to do a photography session with my newborn niece, C., on Sunday. She was born exactly 1 month ago. She’s the 2nd child of my brother, who also has a 2 year-old girl, M. I’m nervous and excited! It has been really hard breaking out of my shell to ask to shoot other people (I’m extremely shy), and I feel as if I haven’t made any progress with getting my photography business off the ground in that respect. These are beautiful! I loooooove your lighting. My fave (this one is hard to choose)is the dimply bum-bum – it defines pure babyhood!
