Introducing My Niece ♥ {Pleasanton Newborn Portraits}

Comments (2)

Finally, I have some pictures to present from my newborn photography session with my new niece, C.  The whole session was a learning experience.  I spent many hours with my niece’s family.  Although some of that time was spent just as family time, I learned that I need to become much faster and more efficient during the shoot.  C.’s parents were troopers, though.  C. just did not like to be unwrapped or uncovered and was often very hungry. Her parents spent an enormous amount of time feeding, changing, wiping, and calming her.  I need to come up with ideas for more clothed and bundled poses to adapt to fussier babies in the future.

C.’s big sister, M., was such a sweet girl. She was so gentle and careful, yet silly. Her dimples are killer. Although she got a chance to wear the tutu that I made, she had to go to bed before we could get her in front of the camera in it. Too bad for me, but at least she got to dress up just for play.

I’m very happy with how things turned out. I got a few different looks and poses to fill out my portfolio and lots of ideas for improvement. Thank you to my brother and his family for letting me participate in such a special time of their lives.

    These are beautiful! I loooooove your lighting. My fave (this one is hard to choose)is the dimply bum-bum – it defines pure babyhood!
