I finally took the plunge and made my first order of photo canvases. I sent some digital files off to Pixel2Canvas, and the results arrived at my doorstep a few days ago. When I saw the big box at my front door as I was coming home, I just knew I that had something very nice waiting for me. I could hardly wait to get the box opened and the pieces unwrapped!
When I finally got everything unwrapped, I was not disappointed. The canvases are stunning, and I can’t say enough good things about them! I’m pretty darn picky, too, so that’s saying a lot. They are spot on, compared to what I see on my monitor.
I made two types: one type with the photo wrapped around to the edge, the other type with decorative borders–damask for my girls and fleur de lis for my boy.
My canvases came with hanging hardware already attached. They are ready to display on the wall, and there’s no need to frame them.
They are so luxurious and artful. They turn a plain room into a museum. They turn kids’ portraits into modern art. These are all 16×20 inches in size. 16×20 sounds really big, but I actually think that they are small enough to hang as a collection, rather than individually.
I temporarily put my canvases onto my garden fence, because I thought the wood texture and the natural surroundings were the perfect backdrop for these gorgeous, streamlined pieces. You should’ve seen me dash in and out of the garden with my hammer and nails, camera, and canvases, trying to dodge the bouts of rain.
I say to my eyes: Dinner— Is— Served.
