How is it that a sweet, innocent, adorable baby grows up to be such a saucy jokester? When it’s time for Nathaniel to get dressed, he purposely puts his feet into the wrong pant leg or tries to get both legs into the same pant leg. When I tell him to sit on his butt in his carseat, he asks, “Is that my butt?” pointing to his knee. “Is that my butt?” pointing to his hair. “Is that my butt?” to his chin. Again to his ear, his belly, his elbow, his forehead. Nathaniel also knows how to throw out at least one put-down, now. When he doesn’t like something, he says, “It’s so stinky!”
Me: Eat your vegetables, Nathaniel.
Saucy Boy: No, I don’t like them.
Me: They are tasty. You like broccoli. You used to eat a lot of it.
Saucy Boy: No, I don’t like bwocowi. It’s so stinky!
I privately think it’s pretty funny, but since this is a blog post, I have to blame his father for this level of sass.
heeheehee. Savor these moments because before you know it their teens! Then the fun begins!
