Going to the Discovery Workshop!

I just can’t keep up with everything these days.  On Thursday, I’m heading to Me Ra Koh‘s Discovery Workshop in San Francisco, CA.  Amidst the unpacking and organizing that still has to be done from our recent move, I just haven’t been able to haul out my studio lighting equipment and take the self-portrait that I have to bring to the workshop.  Tomorrow is my last day to do that, so I think that last-minute pressure is going to have to get me working.

Here’s my follow-up to the sneak peek at Baby V. Have you been sitting at the edge of your seat in anticipation?? I sure have. I have the pleasure of introducing to you Baby Varsha. The name Varsha means “rain.” As the saying goes, when it rains it pours. The cuteness—it pours.

I spent a lovely afternoon getting to know Baby Varsha and her mom. Varsha gets really red when she’s upset. She smiles in her sleep. Oh man, does she smile in her sleep. Those newborn smiles just make me melt. Varsha also has a brow that furrows. Her furrowed brow is so serious and grown-up for such a fresh, brand new little person. Be warned. Big, Dirty Trucks

Comments (4)

Nathaniel, Paige, and I took a small walk yesterday afternoon. We found this empty, undeveloped lot overlooking a beautiful expanse of open, grassy field. The lot didn’t have much except a few short mounds of dirt and gravel and two big construction trucks. And I did get a few shots. After kicking around and carrying big lumps of dirt here and there (as kids just love to do), though, we decided to take a closer look at the trucks.

Nathaniel must have been in heaven. Nathaniel loves vehicles of all …
