I visited Baby J., when he was just one week old. This was a special treat. I had photographed his gorgeous mom when she was still pregnant, and I’m just swooning over how I was able to continue mom’s story into baby’s story. This was perfect time to do some cute newborn poses and to record a precious and fleeting moment in time.

I got the chance to spend some time with fellow photographer and mother, Ajira of Ajira Darch Photography. We had tons of fun just hanging out at the park and letting our kids play. What a joy it is to talk to someone who shares a common passion.
It was also a treat for us to take pictures of each other and our kids. We moms (photographer and non-photographer alike) are so often behind the camera and rarely in front of the camera. What was so touching about Eowyn and Kenny was how long they waited for their new daughter. It was not just the usual nine months, but actually five long years. They called it a journey, and I was honored to have participated in one tiny step of the journey. The pride and love for such a long-awaited little person must be so enormous.
