I’m so proud of this image, because it truly is one of my favorites. The groom, Tom, waited at the rooftop of the City Club in San Francisco for his First Look. He was nervous, to be sure. When Nima finally walked up the stairs to the rooftop and tapped him on the shoulder, he turned around and laid his eyes on Nima for the first time on their wedding day. This was his reaction.

Finally, my follow-up to Allyson and David’s sneak peek! I know David from my ultra-geeky days when I played the game Team Fortress online. David is dating Allyson, and the two are completely in love! Now, what do you do, when you’re dating a fabulous woman and your mom, who lives far away, asks for a picture of her? Just any ordinary guy would send a picture—an ordinary picture—and wouldn’t give it too much thought. Maybe from his smartphone. Maybe from his nice camera, if he was more of a photo enthusiast. I thoroughly enjoyed Leigh and John-Luke’s Livermore winery wedding, and I’m so happy to finally share all the amazing photography moments. What a day! This Livermore wedding had everything: emotion, laughter, tears, fun, surprises, and oodles of details. Leigh, with the help of family and friends, created so many beautiful details that the day was immersed in the feeling of autumn and the countryside. Rustic touches here and vintage items there complemented this theme perfectly. This was a true DIY wedding, and the handmade details helped make their wedding so personal and heartfelt. Leigh and John-Luke currently live in Southern California, but they still have strong connections to their original home in the Midwest. It was important for them to choose a venue that reminded …
