To everyone who ordered their family portrait print from my Halloween Charity Spooky Photo Booth 2009: THANK YOU!

You, my friends and neighbors, raised $105 for Tri-Valley Haven, and I’m happy to match each dollar to make the total $210! Just two weeks ago, I spent a day helping the awesome Kwame Reed, who organized and photographed a Help-Portrait event for Shepherd’s Gate in Brentwood, CA. Shepherd’s Gate is also a shelter for women and children, similar to Tri-Valley Haven. Thanks to everyone who stopped by my Halloween Charity Spooky Photo Booth! There were so many awesome and creative costumes. You made the night so fun! Thanks also to Natasha and Joe who really know how to throw a fabulous block party!

Do I need to get rid of this?

We have had three mini pumpkins out on our porch for the longest time. Since Halloween, actually. They were doing just fine until recently, when a particular Pirate Pumpkin started to rot. Procrastination prevented me from getting rid of it, but I have to say that this thing is growing on me. The biologist in me says that it would be interesting to see how decomposition progresses. The benefits of seeing solicitors run away in disgust aren’t too bad, also.
